Your Own Personal Defender

Our bodies were made to fight off bacteria, mold and viruses when our immune systems are running on all cylinders. Our Immune system grows and learns as it is exposed to sickness and as it is supported with sufficient amounts of oxygen, water, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and amazingly good bacteria.

For thousands of years, people have lived and died through pandemics and plagues.   The key was that many people lived while being exposed  exposed to sickness.  What do you think sets those who lived apart?  I’m sure there are several factors like stress, age, water quality and maybe even genetics, but I think we can conclude that most of the people who lived though these perilous times are the people with studly immune systems.

Have you ever wondered how is it that there can be a classroom full of students and only a handful get sick, while the rest of the students remain good?    From  toxic to sunlight exposure to allergies and the foods we eat, our immune systems functionality will vary.  The following is my top list of things that suppress the immune system.

Growing up, I could only remember my mother and grandmother being  sick a maybe a few times.  However, every year I would get a cold or the flu.  My mother was a teacher, ate home cooked meals and supplemented with vitamins and minerals.

When our Immune systems are working in full gear, we have the ability to   ward of flus, colds and infections more efficiently.  While certian viruses can be life threatening, many who have them are living normal lives.  It depends on how their body is able to respond to those

  1. Unresolved Stress

  2. Lack of Sleep

  3. Lack of fluid in the body

  4. Nutrient Deficiencies

  5. Sugar (an over abundance)
